It sounds to me like you've got a good plan for her visit, but my #1 suggestion is to show her things to do that are easy to incorporate into everyday life. I know ...Ooh, my suggestion is no processed sugar. I know WW allows stuff and you just use points for it, but I find getting off refined sugar for a while can make a huge difference to how I feel. Plus, this time of year is the perfect time to feast on snacks and desserts of ripe, juicy melon, strawberries, nectarines, etc. Also, grilled veggies if you have a BBQ -- eggplant, zucchini, portabella mushrooms, red/yellow/green bell peppers, pasilla/poblano peppers, etc. Just make sure to toss lightly with some olive oil or cooking spray and some seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.) I say take advantage of the bounty of in-season produce to show your mom how yummy it can be to eat whole foods :)Ellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07735920718567395525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6957271110264887173.post-21696859929474581372007-06-11T11:28:00.000-04:002007-06-11T11:28:00.000-04:00I don't have any tips other than have lots of laug...I don't have any tips other than have lots of laughs together... might as well make "Fat Camp" fun right? I think her story is similar to so many, including my own (I think I weigh about the same as your Mum, and I am very short).
I am not really in a position to give advice as I am fat myself, but I would definatly try and avoid any alcohol (I'm not sure if you drink ususally), keep up your water intake, and try to remove any processed foods from your diet. If it doesn't come from nature (fruit, vege, protein) try to avoid it like the plauge. Goodluck in your Mum/daughter Health fortnight!!
BTW... thanks for the lovely commment on my blog!Siennahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14996261651645719451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6957271110264887173.post-40004044785687888762007-06-11T02:34:00.000-04:002007-06-11T02:34:00.000-04:00Nope, sounds like you have it all under control, j...Nope, sounds like you have it all under control, just watch your portion sizes and eat healthy, you should send her home lighter!
